Whether you're looking for a challenging hike or a relaxing day by the lake, Paris Mountain State Park has something for everyone. Paris Mountain State Park has a history dating back to the Great Depression when it was developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The CCC built many of the park's original structures, including the stone bathhouse and several of the trails. The park's name comes from Richard Pearis, an early settler who established a trading post in the area in the 1700s. The park has been a popular recreational destination for generations, offering a respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. Visitors to Paris Mountain State Park can enjoy a variety of activities. Hike or bike along the park's extensive trail system, which offers options for all skill levels. Swim, kayak, or paddleboard in one of the park's lakes. Fish for bass, catfish, and bream. Camp overnight in one of the park's campsites. The park also offers picnic areas, playgrounds, and a nature center. While there are no specific culinary traditions within the park itself, you can pack a picnic lunch to enjoy amidst the natural surroundings or find dining options in nearby Travelers Rest.
